Pet stores aren’t always right.
In fact, when it comes to reptiles, they rarely are. Make sure you do your research before taking a pet store employee’s advice - or any advice, really! You never want to take your info from just one source.
(P.S. - Ball pythons are nocturnal, they should spend most of the day hiding. While 85 is an appropriate temperature for a BP’s environment, 72 is quite low and will most likely cause long-term health issues like respiratory infection. This “care sheet” also does not emphasize humidity, which plays a very important role in keeping these snakes healthy.)
